Dr Julie Maxton

Dr Julie Maxton is the Registrar of Oxford University and a Fellow of University College, Oxford. She read Law at University College London and was called to the Bar at the Middle Temple. She then became an academic lawyer while continuing to practice as a barrister. Specialising in trusts and commercial law, Julie has held faculty positions in the UK, Hong Kong and Australia. In recent years Julie has held senior administrative positions at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, including successively Dean of the Law Faculty, Dean of Graduate Studies and Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor.
