Harald Jaffe
Dr. Harold Jaffe is Professor and Head of the Department of Health at the University of Oxford. Prior to joining Oxford in 2004, he was Director of the National Center for HIV, STD, and TB Prevention at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Jaffe is a physician trained in internal medicine and infectious diseases. Beginning in 1981, he was part of the CDC team that investigated an outbreak of a new disease, now known as AIDS. He is a member of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies, USA.
